Brain Health Trainer – Authors: Dr. Sarah McEwen, Ryan Glatt – The Functional Aging Institute ***Save $200.00 on this course using code CAN200 at checkout***
This course will help Fitness Professionals make a difference in helping those at risk for or with dementia, this course will significantly transform your understanding of the brain, its relationship to exercise, and how to leverage them to slow cognitive decline in the individuals that need it most. The evidence demonstrating the cognitive and brain health benefits of exercise in various neurological conditions is well-documented, but less evidence is available for more selective effects across these different populations. In addition, clients with other conditions (diabetes, depression, cardiopulmonary conditions, etc.) may also have concurrent cognitive issues that could benefit from appropriate exercise prescription. Dual-task training has also demonstrated cognitive and/or functional benefits to several of these populations. Further training and continued education in working with any of the populations in question is strongly encouraged 4 CECs
